January Artist Reception: Disturbance of Dreams

Artist: William Sievert

Opening Reception: January 9th, 6 - 9pm

The rational world rests on a foundation of writhing immateriality, we live in dreams night and day. Some dreams are of war, some are of peace, some of love, others of hate, some for wealth and others for survival; history is filled with the relics of ambitious dreams.

Perhaps the most pernicious and insidious dreams are the quests for acquisitions and possessions. Disturbance arrives at the intersection of these conflicting phantasms.

Paintings, video, and other images.

We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are.
-Anaïs Nin
