October Artist Reception: Paintings and Drawings
Artist: Bill Ward
Opening Reception:
October 3rd, 6 - 9pm
“I like to paint crazy little people. Not quite full size, but not tiny, either. Right around knee-high. Sometimes they are just portraits and sometimes they are pictures of things that they use or snapshots of them hanging out; right now they have been singing a lot of crazy songs. They can be maps to where they live, or diagrams of what they are thinking. They ride horses and talk on telephones, and the bad ones dress like their favorite rock stars and smoke cigarettes. Lately they seem to be getting a little more prone to violence. It makes me nervous.” -Bill Ward
